The Miele Laundry Care Exhibition
Celebrating 114 years of excellence
Miele has developed pioneering home appliances for well over a century, always striving to be “Forever Better” in each and every one of its endeavours. Wishing to share this long and innovative history with the public, Miele hosted its first ever exhibition in Hong Kong from 22nd to 25th October at the elegant ifc mall: The Miele Laundry Care Exhibition.
From the very first oak-built washing machine of 1904 through to Miele’s state-of-the-art flagship Prestige Range of washers and dryers, the exhibition took visitors on an inspiring journey through the evolution of laundry care, showcasing a handful of historic and unique Miele appliances. Guests greatly enjoyed seeing a range of one-of-a-kind historical artefacts, and excitedly explored Miele’s legacy as they mingled with like-minded event-goers at the stylish venue.
Also on site were the Miele Lab and Care Corner, both of which added a unique and interactive new twist on the art of cleaning, elevating it to an intriguing new level. At the Lab, Miele showcased some of the more scientific aspects of its products to curious guests, ranging from the ingredients in its world-renowned detergents to an impressive exploded 3D view of the brand’s Prestige range washing machine. At Care Corner, guests learned how to look after their wardrobes with the utmost love and care, to keep their style staples in good condition for years to come.
Attendees enthusiastically soaked up Miele’s heritage, tips, and expertise, and were inspired by the varied mix of exhibitions, artefacts, demonstrations, and installations on display. Each visitor left with a complimentary fashion pin and a pack of postcards featuring fabric care tips illustrated by a local Hong Kong fashion artist, eager to continue their fashion-forward journey at home.
