The laundry or washing machine smells unpleasant.
In order to prevent germs and unpleasant odours building up in the washing machine, run the Maintenance wash or Cottons programmes at maximum temperature. Use the Miele IntenseClean machine cleaner. Alternatively, a multi-purpose detergent can be used.
Make sure that you wash at a temperature of at least 60 °C at least once a month.
Remove the laundry immediately after the end of the programme.
Use the delay start (if available) to prevent longer idle times.
Leave the door and the detergent drawer slightly open to allow them to dry.
Check the detergent amount dispensed. The dispensing quantity will depend on the degree of soiling of the laundry, load size and water hardness.
Use dispensing aids (e.g. dispenser balls) if these are supplied with the detergent, particularly when using liquid detergent.
Check the basic dispensing quantity.
