Powerful and efficient: Patented motor**
The motor in Miele washing machines, tumble dryers, and washer-dryers is a particularly powerful inverter drive, engineered to deliver performance as economically and quietly as possible. As it is electronically controlled, the motor does not use carbon brushes and is therefore not subject to the usual wear. This innovative development ensures many years of efficient, reliable, and convenient laundry care.

The Miele motor warranty is valid for all new Miele washing machines, tumble dryers and washer-dryers purchased from February 23, 2026 onwards. The purchase date stated on the invoice applies. Appliances from the commercial range and "Little Giants" are excluded from the motor warranty.
As long as your appliance is purchased through our authorized sales channels, the motor warranty will be automatically activated for free, no additional steps are required.
The motor warranty covers the cost of the motor as well as the technician's travel and labor charges in the event of a repair. If your machine is beyond economic repair or if repair is impossible, you will be provided with an identical or equivalent new machine. We are convinced that longevity is key to sustainability. That is why all Miele washing machines, tumble dryers and washer dryers are already tested for up to 20 years of use. The motor – the heart of every appliance – must deliver consistently high performance for decades and is subject to particularly high stress. Following our quality promise, we now offer this additional 25-year motor warranty to demonstrate the longevity and trust in the quality of our appliances.

Terms and Conditions
Miele (HK) Ltd grants the purchaser an additional 25-year warranty on the motor of washing machines, tumble dryers, and washer-dryers. This motor warranty is provided in addition to the original Miele appliance warranty.
This additional warranty provided the statutory warranty rights with respect to the seller (which the purchaser can exercise free of charge) without restricting these. The warranty conditions outlined below apply exclusively to new appliances.
I. Duration and commencement of the warranty period
1. The warranty on the motor is granted for a period of 25 years, provided the motor is used as intended.
2. The warranty period commences on the purchase invoice date of the appliance.
Warranty services and spare parts deliveries to meet warranty claims do not result in an extension of the original warranty period.
II. Prerequisites for the warranty
1. The 25-year warranty on the motor applies exclusively to washing machines, tumble dryers and washer-dryers from the domestic range used in a domestic setting. Professional machines and Little Giants are excluded.
2. The appliance must have been purchased on or after 23 February, 2026 from an authorised dealer or directly from Miele in Hong Kong or Macau, and is also installed and used in either of these regions.
3. A claim under the warranty must be made via Miele Customer Service or a service agent authorised by Miele. Miele Customer Service can be contacted via our hotline at +852 2610 1025.
4. Proof of warranty (purchase invoice) must be produced at the request of the service technician.
III. Content and scope of the warranty
1. Following notification by the purchaser, motor defects will be remedied within a reasonable period of time at no charge, at our option either through repair or replacement of the motor or the affected motor parts. Costs incurred in this process including transportation, call-out costs, labour and the cost of spare parts will be borne by Miele (HK) Ltd. Replaced parts or appliances are the property of Miele (HK) Ltd.
2. The warranty does not cover any further claims for damage against Miele (HK) Ltd, unless an authorised service agent commissioned by Miele (HK) Ltd. acts with intent or gross negligence.
IV. Restriction of the warranty
Faults or defects resulting from the following are not covered by the warranty:
1. Improper installation, e.g. non-compliance with relevant safety regulations and written operating and installation instructions
2. Improper use and operation such as the use of unsuitable detergents or chemicals
3. External factors such as damage caused through transportation, impact or jolting, inclement environmental conditions or natural phenomena
4. Repairs or modifications not performed by service agents trained and authorised by Miele
5. Failure to use genuine Miele spare parts or accessories authorised by Miele
6. Current or voltage fluctuations which exceed or drop below the tolerances stipulated by Miele
